Industrial L-Tryptophan has a purity of at least 99%, appearing as a white to pale yellow crystalline powder with a faint odor. It decomposes at a melting point of 289℃ and has no distinct boiling point. Its vapor pressure is negligible at 25℃, and the relative density is 1.36 at 20℃. It is slightly soluble in water, soluble in dilute acids and alkalis, and insoluble in ethanol and ether. The product is stable under normal conditions but incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.

Product Application of L-TryptophanCAS73-22-3
L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid critical for normal growth in infants and the maintenance of nitrogen balance in adults. As a natural dietary supplement, it supports mood balance and healthy sleep. It serves as a biological precursor to niacin, indole alkaloids, and serotonin. It is also widely used as an intrinsic fluorescent probe to characterize the microenvironment of proteins and biomolecules.
