Tetrabutyl titanate is a water-white to light yellow liquid with an alcohol-like odor. It has a density similar to water and a flash point of 170°F. Direct contact may lead to irritation or chemical burns on skin and mucous membranes.

Product Application
Tetrabutyl titanate is widely used in the preparation of anatase-phase nano-titania powders and ferroelectric bismuth titanate thin films. It acts as a chemical intermediate, paint additive, coating additive, processing aid, and process control agent. It is also applied in room-temperature synthesis of nanocrystalline titanium dioxide powders.
