Description

Oxalic acid is a strong dicarboxylic acid that occurs naturally in numerous flowers and vegetables, usually in the form of calcium or potassium oxalate salts. It is the unique chemical compound where two carboxyl groups are directly bonded together, making oxalic acid one of the most powerful organic acids. Similar to formic acid and unlike most other carboxylic acids, it is readily oxidized, which enables its wide use as a reducing agent in photographic processing, bleaching applications, and ink stain removal.Oxalic acid
