Description

Calcium chloride (CaCl₂, CAS 10043-52-4) industrial-grade purity ≥ 99%, appears as white hard flakes or granular solid, odorless and highly hygroscopic. Melting point 772 °C, boiling point 1600 °C (decomposes). Vapor pressure is negligible at 25 °C, relative density 2.15 (20 °C). It dissolves extremely well in water (74.5 g/100 mL at 20 °C), soluble in ethanol and acetone, but insoluble in ether. It is chemically stable, and incompatible with fluorides and strong oxidizing agents.Calcium chloride
