Dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) is a high-performance plasticizer widely used in the processing of PVC and other polymeric materials. It is an ester formed by the reaction of terephthalic acid and 2-ethylhexanol. This product is a clear, colorless liquid with a mild odor and is insoluble in water.
