Didodecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (DDAC) is an 80% colorless to light yellow liquid, and a 99% white to pale yellow paste-like substance. It is soluble in polar solvents but slightly soluble in water. It has excellent anti-static, anti-corrosion, dispersion, emulsification and foaming properties. It is compatible with cationic, nonionic and amphoteric surfactants. It will adsorb onto negatively charged surfaces, making fibers soft, fluffy and hydrophobic.
