Description

Methanol is a simplest alcohol with a light alcoholic odor. It is completely miscible with water and most organic solvents. As a volatile chemical it is used in fuel cells as a hydrogen carrier and in the production of formaldehyde for manufacturing plastics, adhesives, and coatings. It is also employed as a denaturant in industrial alcohol and as an antifreeze in cooling systems.Methanol

Product Application

Methanol is extensively used as a fuel in internal combustion engines and as a clean burning fuel for vehicles. It acts as a solvent in the chemical industry for resins dyes and pharmaceuticals. In addition it is a key raw material for producing biodiesel through transesterification and is utilized in the production of MTBE methyl tert-butyl ether an oxygenate additive for gasoline.
