Description

Chlorinated paraffins are a versatile group of industrial chemicals used across numerous applications. They are categorized by carbon chain length, and most commercial grades consist of blended formulations. The product with CAS 106232-86-4 is classified as Long-Chain Chlorinated Paraffin (LCCP), containing about 24 chlorine atoms per molecule; long-chain types show lower environmental impact compared with short-chain varieties.

Chlorinated paraffin is chemically inert, nearly insoluble in water, and features excellent flame-retardant properties. It is widely used as a plasticizer and functional additive in metalworking lubricants, cutting fluids, plastics, rubber, paints, adhesives, and many other industrial products. China is the world’s leading producer of chlorinated paraffin.
