Description

Ammonium ferric citrate industrial product purity ≥ 99%, brown to reddish-brown crystalline powder, odorless. Melting point decomposes at 180℃, boiling point no data. Vapor pressure negligible (25℃), relative density 1.80 (20℃). Solubility in water: highly soluble, insoluble in ethanol and ether. Stable, incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong bases.

China provides that it can be used for salt and sandwich sugar with the usage amount of 4000~8000mg/kg; in high-iron cereal and its products (daily limit: 50 g of such food): 1200~1350mg/kg; dairy and infant food: 400 to 800 mg/kg; in cereals and their products, 160 to 330 mg/kg; beverages: 70 to 140 mg/kg.
