Description

Products Description of Cyclohexene CAS# 110-83-8
Cyclohexene is a cyclic olefin. It appears as a colorless, flammable liquid with a distinctive pungent odor under room temperature. Prolonged exposure to air may lead to oxidation and formation of peroxides. It occurs naturally in coal tar and dissolves readily in organic solvents including acetone, carbon tetrachloride, benzene, diethyl ether, ethanol, and hexane. It can form binary azeotropic mixtures with lower alcohols, acetic acid, and other compounds. Cyclohexene exhibits typical olefin properties. It decomposes rapidly under sunlight or ultraviolet irradiation in the presence of uranium salts. It remains stable when heated for a long duration at 200°C in a sealed tube, and converts into benzene and naphthalene at temperatures between 400°C and 500°C.Cyclohexene
